  Tiling is a job that can easily go wrong if you've never done it before. When done well they can last a generation but if not done properly you could have them falling off the wall within weeks and fixing a bad tiling job will likely cost more than if you had a professional do it in the first place

 A word of advice is to hold on to those extra tiles. Resist the urge to get rid of them to make space in the garage because that half a box of tiles could be the difference between cutting out one broken tile and installing a perfect match ($300-$500) and a full bathroom re-tile ($10000+)
